Porous Magnesium Metal-Organic Framework
The three-dimensional metal-organic framework α‑[Mg3(O2CH)6] contains free DMF molecules in its pores that can be removed to leave a permanently porous material. The framework has been shown to take up a variety of small molecules upon soaking. These materials are potentially useful for selective separations.
